Although Flemings didn’t make the cut for a food review, (not because it wasn’t completely delicious~it was! More so because we have already been there and we review new places only)
We couldn’t let this delectable dinner go unspoken of
Sundays are our standing date night- no kids- mad or not mad at each other… mandatory date night. (That is a blog for another day, ha.) Last night we went to Flemings. Mostly, because we had a gift card from a client. The food was so incredibly delicious that I had to do a quick blog to show you pics and give you guys our recommendation for what to order next time you visit Flemings.
Mike ordered the 12 oz filet and added a side of asparagus. Medium rare. Was a tad over cooked, but not much at all. Seasoned perfectly and asparagus was perfectly sautéed!
I originally was going to order the chicken and Mike really wanted to try the pork chop. I ended up making the right choice… holy shit, this was AMAZING… we both could not believe how amazing all of the flavors went together. The waiter commented that it was his favorite dish too. Flemings calls it the Double Thick Pork Rib Chop! It was huge… the flavor to the pork chop is julienne of apples and jicama, apple cider and creole mustard glaze!
I added the BLOOMSDALE SPINACH salad. I took off the red onion and added dried cranberries. It also came with tomatoes, spiced bacon, sliced almonds, fresh blueberries, chopped egg, chèvre fritter, lemon-truffle dressing. I normally do NOT like anything lemon flavored, but I could not even tell this was lemon flavored. It had a slight hint but was delic!
This meal was a date night success. They offer a program for 50% off your 4th meal when you register for the rewards dining program. Our bill was $138.00 before tip. Not too bad for a 12 oz filet and amazeballs pork chop!
